The Economic Downturn, IT, and Higher Education

Monday, March 9, 2009

Abstract

This web seminar will look at the economic downturn from the perspective of a chief finance officer: Fred Rogers of Carleton College. We will also focus on what the stimulus package means for higher education IT with Terry Hartle, senior vice president for government and public affairs at ACE, the American Council on Education. After reviewing what members said they need from EDUCAUSE in these challenging times, we’ll open up the discussion for your suggestions.

Note - The slides by Fred Rogers included in the presentation file and archived session do not necessarily reflect accurate data for Carleton College. Rather, they were provided as examples for the purposes of illustration and to reflect the typical situation most likely facing many institutions.
