Faculty Center for Teaching and e-Learning

Thursday, January 1, 2004

Abstract

During the summer of 2001, the Faculty Center for Teaching at the University of North Carolina (UNC) Charlotte was charged with developing an instructional technology plan. A new CIO was hired who, along with the director of the Faculty Center for Teaching, determined the center should include support for instructional technology. Founded in July 2002, the expanded Faculty Center for Teaching and e-Learning (FCTeL) serves as a catalyst for enhancing instruction at UNC Charlotte by engaging faculty in the discovery, dissemination, synthesis, and application of knowledge and technology related to teaching and learning.
