Because of the steady increased cost of new and used textbooks, students are choosing to abstain from purchasing these resources or decreasing their courseload to afford the resources needed to obtain optimal grades.  This report examines open textbooks, an increasingly popular alternative to hard copies, as well as other possibilities for affordibility.
