HEIRAlliance Executive Strategies Report #4: What Presidents Need to Know About the Payoff on the Information Technology Investment

Saturday, January 1, 1994

Abstract

This four-page report suggests approaches to the complex process of calculating cost/benefits of information technologies on campus -- particularly difficult for a resource as complex, pervasive, and integrated as this one is, and when many of the benefits are innovations and intangibles. Addresses the issues both philosophically and through sample estimates from projects from the five contributing colleges and universities. The fourth release in a series of executive strategies reports offered by the HEIRAlliance, a collaboration between CAUSE, EDUCOM, and the Association of Research Libraries.
