Higher Education in the Connected Age – 2013 Infographic

Abstract

Connecting is a powerful metaphor for IT and higher education. Everything—people, resources, data, ideas, are interconnected. Technology enables and catalyzes these connections, at an increasingly rapid pace. The game is changing. We are no longer in the information age—we are in the connected age. New models are being created. New possibilities are emerging. EDUCAUSE has distilled four areas that are being impacted by the connected age. This infographic explores the components of this new age. For more on the connected age, explore the September/October 2013 issue of EDUCAUSE Review.
