Mobile Framework Evaluation Spreadsheet

Monday, January 14, 2013

Abstract

This Excel document was created by the ACTI Mobile Web Frameworks Working Group to accompany their January 2013 white paper, Developing a Campus Mobile Strategy: Guidelines, Tools, and Best Practices.

The worksheet is a tool to help campuses rate/compare products once a campus-wide mobile strategy has been identified. After narrowing down the options (see the white paper for strategies on how to do so), the worksheet allows evaluation teams to take a deeper dive into the details and capabilities of the final competing products. Prior to using this resource, it is important that the institution determines its mobile strategy and in turn prioritizes and possibly eliminates some of the listed criteria. Priorities and needs differ across institutions and this worksheet accounts for that.
