Obama’s College Affordability Blueprint and the Role of Technology

In President Barack Obama’s State of the Union address, he stressed the importance of education to his economic agenda. He reemphasized the national goal of leading the world with the highest share of college graduates by 2020. He appealed to the Congress to increase federal student aid and called upon state governments to make higher education a higher priority in their budgets. He also announced six new reforms to promote shared responsibility to address the college affordability challenge.
