Abstract
Creating a World Wide Web site for an organization as diverse as a major research university requires a coordination of efforts that is somewhat antithetical to the nature of a university. This paper describes the successful partnerships at Vanderbilt University that have led to a Web site that seeks to meet the diverse internal goals of the Vanderbilt community as well as present information about Vanderbilt to external constituencies.
