Abstract
The Western Cooperative for Educational Telecommunications (WCET), a program of the Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education (WICHE), has developed a set of standards for higher education delivered via telecommunications. These standards, intended to encourage the interstate delivery of high quality education programs via electronic means, cover curriculum and instruction, institutional context and commitment, and evaluation and assessment. The list of standards, or "Principles of Good Practice for Electronically Offered Academic Degree and Certificate Programs," is included in this article.
