Reengineering Reengineering: Are Academic Institutions Reshaping Reengineering?

Abstract

This paper describes how Business Project Reengineering projects at Mount Holyoke diverged from corporate standards to better suit higher education needs. The authors provide departmental and organizational level views of successful reengineering projects and the modifications they made to the process to fit higher education's environment. The paper also discusses principles necessary for a reengineering project's continued success.
