Abstract
The Digital Learning Now! Smart Series is a collection of interactive papers that will provide specific guidance for policy makers and educational leaders regarding adoption of Common Core Standards and the shift to personal digital learning.
Digital Learning Now! (DLN) released "The Shift from Cohorts to Competency" the fourth DLN Smart Series paper, which takes a look at competency education through the lens of what is possible with digital tools. The paper includes 10 design choices that schools are making and 10 new capacities that states will need to develop.
