SIP Services: Communication in the Cloud
Thursday, August 2, 2012
Abstract
In this ACTI Conversation webinar, speakers will discuss the Internet2 NET+ SIP cloud-based services, including the RFP process that was used to procure the services, what services are being offered, and the status of deployment. Participants will understand benefits to universities and colleges, how to engage the Internet2 team, and what is required for a campus to participate. The SIP services that are being deployed include hosted VoIP services (PBX replacement) from AASTRA and SIP trunk services from Level3. The services will include VoIP lines, call center services, SIP LD services, SIP local trunks, conference bridge services, and several other services. The services are all SIP standards based and are offered in an à-la-carte manner that allow campuses to pick and choose services that are appropriate. This ACTI Conversation is sponsored by the ACTI Communication, Collaboration, and Mobility (ACTI-CCM) Working Group.
