Spotlight on Cloud Computing Series: Heading for the Clouds? Build Your Own First!

Abstract
Cloud computing offers a new and powerful approach to agility and efficiency for enterprise IT, but the first step into the clouds can be risky and hard to manage. One solution is to start by developing an internal private cloud, positioning the campus IT organization to support moving to a rational use of public and private cloud services. This presentation will explain the private-cloud concept and explores how it helps bridge the gap between traditional monolithic system design and cloud-based services.
