Abstract
The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) is a federal law that gives students rights concerning their educational records and governs the release of information from those records by educational institutions. Broadening access to information systems and the implementation of course-management software increases institutions' risk. This session will focus on what IT staff need to know about FERPA.
