Abstract
Creating a viable inter-realm trust for higher education is a necessary step for implementing both Shibboleth and PKI and points to opportunities to leverage the common needs of the two. The integration of the technologies and trust models of Shibboleth and PKI infrastructures is new territory and will be discussed by one of the pioneers in this frontier.
