Czyzewski is an intelligence analyst at FBI Headquarters appointed to the Cyber Division, where he supports a wide array of operations and participates in malicious code working groups. Prior to joining the FBI in 2004, Czyzewski was a technology professional at Duquesne University, where he developed information systems in support of the school’s distance learning program. He earned a BS from Purdue University and a JD from Duquesne University. Vincent J. Rowe Vincent J. Rowe is an intelligence analyst at FBI Headquarters in Washington, D.C. He has been with the bureau for more than 15 years, all of them in the cyber-investigative arena. For the past eight years, Rowe’s research has concentrated on malicious code analysis. He earned a BS in information systems from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. SummaryYour host, Steve Worona, will be joined by Andrew J. Czyzewski and Vincent J. Rowe, and the topic will be "Trends in Malicious Code on the Internet." The presentation will identify the FBI’s role in combating malicious code outbreaks and investigating computer intrusion incidents, as well as the objectives of malware analysis. The malicious code cycle of harvesting, harnessing, and executing will be explained and the status of universities as malware targets will be discussed.
