Biography

Adam R. Albina has served as the Chief Information Officer for Saint Anselm College in Manchester, NH since 2003. His interest in computer technology began during his undergraduate studies at Mount Saint Mary's University in Emmitsburg, Maryland where he used a mainframe word processing system to type papers. After graduation Adam served in the United States Army as an active duty Army Officer. While in the Army, his interest in technology prompted a functional area specialization in Automation and subsequent assignments such as Fielding Officer for Mobile Subscribers Communications Equipment, and functional representative for a TRADOC pilot training scheduling system. He was selected for the Army equivalent of a fellowship program and earned a Master of Science from the University of Maryland Baltimore County in Information Systems and was subsequently assigned as the Chief of Software Engineering for the United States Military Academy, West Point. During his tour of duty at West Point, he lead a team of software engineers, database administrators, web developers, and several teams of sub-contractors in the custom development, implementation and migration from legacy systems to the Academy's new ERP.

After his time in the Army, Adam worked in the private sector software development industry in Massachusetts for several years as a Technical Architect, Software Development Manager and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of a start-up company in the Biometric Security space.

Returning to technology in higher education in 2003, Adam currently serves as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) for Saint Anselm College in Manchester New Hampshire. The Office of Information Technology is responsible for Instructional Technology, Network Services and Telecommunications, Information Systems, and Customer Service and Support.
