Membership Information



Alana J. Mauger has worked at Montgomery County Community College since 2002, first as Coordinator of Media and Public Relations, and currently as Director of Communications. In her role, she is responsible for all media and public relations, social media, and employee communications. A professional writer and editor, Alana facilitates three College blogs and lends speech writing and publication support to the Office of the President. She is also a voice artist for the College's Call Center, as well as for a variety of other multi-media projects.

Prior to working in higher education, Alana was as a producer and copy writer for WPAZ radio in Pottstown, Pa. and was an editor with Broad Street Community Newspapers, a subsidiary of Philly News Inc. She is a proud alumna of Montgomery County Community College and Kutztown University, having earned degrees in Humanities and Professional Writing, respectively, and she completed a master's degree in Education in 2006 from Capella University.

In her spare time, she enjoys blogging, going to concerts, and painting, and she is a huge fan of the Philadelphia Flyers.
