Alex Everett
Biography
Presently works as an IT Security Engineer for ITS Information Security at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Alex received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with specialization in computer engineering from Oklahoma State University in 2005. Prior to his current position at UNC, Alex was an IT Security Engineer for Oklahoma State University. Alex began working for Oklahoma State University as an undergraduate and spent three years working for the Systems Security Office at OSU and two years working for a set of healthcare facilities in Oklahoma City. Alex has obtained the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) designation and attended renowned information security conferences including BlackHat and DefCon. Currently, Alex is an active member of the Infragard. Current responsibilities include penetration testing, incident response, security research, and risk management, and intrusion prevention.EDUCAUSE Publications
