Amy Roche serves as Instructional Designer for the Berks Campus of Penn State University and has been within the field of higher education since 2006. As Instructional Designer, Amy works with her colleagues in the Center for Learning and Teaching (CLT) and faculty in the design and development of hybrid courses. Other primary responsibilities include assisting faculty and staff to integrate the use of instructional technology tools to enhance the overall quality of the teaching and learning process.

Prior to accepting the Instructional Designer position, Amy was Manager of Instructional Technology at Northampton Community College. In her previous role, she and the other members of the Instructional Technology department provided expertise and guidance to faculty and staff on the use of technologies in campus and online learning environments. This included but is not limited to providing faculty with a technological skill set to integrate into their teaching, assist faculty to apply pedagogical uses of technology, and support technologies such as Blackboard and iTunes University.

Amy Roche received a Master of Science in Instructional Technology from Bloomsburg University in Bloomsburg, PA and her professional interests include instructional design models, e-learning design, learning infrastructures, and emerging technologies.
