Biography
Andrea Di Fabio is the Information Security Officer and Super Computing Technology Coordinator at Norfolk State University where he plays a significant role in strategic planning, policy development, deployment of information technology infrastructure and development of educational programs. Recent accomplishments include the deployment of a Campus-Wide Role-Based Secure WiFi solution presented at the Educause MARC06, a successful security awareness training and exercise program for NSU students modeled from a recent Ethical Hacking Contest he attended and won at Educause, and the deployment of campus wide security solutions such as Firewall, IDS/IPS and VPN. Andrea also serves as a member of the Security Professionals Conference 2006 Program Committee. Andrea completed his Master of Science in Computer Science at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA where he also earned a Bachelor in Computer Engineering while working for the University Information Systems Group.
