Biography

Betsy Draper has over 30 years of information and instructional technology, planning, and institutional research leadership experience in higher education and federal government. She has experience in IT strategic planning, enterprise architecture, business process analysis, and capital planning. She has led faculty development programs in instructional technology and andragogy, and has developed and taught online courses in undergraduate business and graduate education programs. Draper has participated in college and university program reviews and assessment. Draper served as director of several instructional technology initiatives for the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities (MnSCU), and served in technology support and management positions at North Dakota State University and South Dakota State University. Draper served on the faculty at Southwest Minnesota State University (Marshall, MN) and later as Chief Information Officer. Draper served as a technology consultant in a higher education consulting firm prior to joining the U.S. Department of Agriculture National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA) where she served as Chief Enterprise Architect and IT Portfolio Planner. She retired as Deputy CIO at Kansas State University with a focus on enterprise architecture, planning, staff development, and process improvement. Draper holds a BBA degree from Iowa State University, an MBA from North Dakota State University, and an Ed.D. from the University of South Dakota.
