Biography

Betsy Tippens Reinitz is Director of Administrative IT Programs at EDUCAUSE, where she is developing a vision as well as the activities, services, and programs for their support of administrative IT systems and services. Before coming to EDUCAUSE, Betsy worked for 14 years at the University of Washington Bothell, most recently as Assistant Vice Chancellor for Information Technologies, where she led efforts to align technology planning, resource allocation, and strategic direction with the mission and goals of a fast-growing public university. Her background is in user support and training, and she has always been as interested in people as she is in technology. She worked in user support at Wellesley College prior to moving to the west coast. Before joining EDUCAUSE, Betsy served on numerous EDUCAUSE committees, including the 2014 Connect committee, the 2013 Annual Conference Program Committee, the 2008 Western Regional Program Committee, the Fellowship Advisory Committee, and the Member Information Services Committee. She chaired the 2012 West/Southwest Regional Conference Program Committee. Betsy attended the 2005 Frye Leadership Institute.
