Biography

Bill White currently serves in the role of Chief Information Officer for Eastern Florida State College, serving Florida’s Space Coast with 4 campuses throughout Brevard County. In this role, Bill directs and manages the strategy and operations related to college-wide information technologies and services.

Prior to joining Eastern Florida State College, Bill served as the Chief Information Officer at Valencia College in Orlando, Florida for 17 years and the Director of the Computer Center at Rockford University for 11 years.  Other past positions have included the Vice President for Strategic Services and Director of Strategic Partnerships at eLumen, Inc. and Strategic Account Executive at Blackboard, Inc.

Bill has spent his career serving higher education through various roles with a strong focus on technology strategy and operations, student learning and support, and the effective use of technology to support institutional mission, goals, and objectives.

Bill has provided leadership to and has served on a number of state, regional and national educational organizations, including Florida's Virtual Campus’ Distance Learning and Student Services Member Council, the EDUCAUSE 2016 Program Committee, EDUCAUSE Connect and Southeast Regional Program Committees, the Florida State College System CIO Council, and the Florida Association of Educational Data Systems (FAEDS) Board.

Bill graduated from Rockford College, majoring in Computer Science and Business Administration.
