Brian Eckman is a Security Analyst at the University of Minnesota, where he specializes in incident response and digital forensics. Brian began working full-time for the "U" in December of 1997, and has worked in the centralized IT Security department "OIT Security & Assurance" since March, 2003. He holds the GCFA (GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst) certification at the Silver level (valid through May 31, 2010), after having attended the SANS Forensics course (SEC 508) in November of 2005 and passing the associated certification exams with scores of 93% and 99%. Brian is also a member of the REN-ISAC Technical Advisory Group, where he plays an active role acting as a liaison between REN-ISAC management and its membership.
