Biography

Brian serves in the senior IT role at Calvin College in Grand Rapids, MI., overseeing all aspects of information technology for the institution including administrative computing, academic computing, and infrastructure in addition to coordinating IT policy, strategic initiatives, projects, budgets, and staff development. Calvin College is a nationally recognized private, selective, higher educational institution which consistently receives superior ratings from a variety of sources and accreditation organizations.

Prior to joining Calvin College, Brian served as a senior member of the IT management team at Oakland University in, Rochester, MI. overseeing networking, technology, security, infrastructure, and acting as the deputy CIO. Brian continues to be a participating faculty member (adjunct) for Oakland University's School of Business Administration and has also taught for the OU School of Engineering and Computer Science.

Brian received his undergraduate degree from Hope College in Holland, Michigan, his M.S. in Computer and Information Systems from University of Detroit Mercy, and has completed additional graduate work at Wayne State University, also in Detroit, MI.
