Biography

Brian Smith-Sweeney is the Assistant Director of New York
University's Technology Security Services group, where he manages
NYU's Global Security Operations team. That team's responsibilities
include incident response, security architecture, internal consulting,
and vulnerability assessment. Brian is additionally responsible for
strategic planning and policy development.

Brian is a member the Internet2 SALSA-CSI2 working group and the
REN-ISAC Microsoft Analysis Team which he chairs. Prior to joining NYU
he worked as a consultant and security professional in both the public
and private sector including a 3-year stint with the Physics
Department at the UC Santa Barbara.
