Chandragupta Gudena is the Chief Information Officer for Richard Bland College of William & Mary, a post he has held since July, 2013. Mr. Gudena is responsible for providing institution-wide leadership for the library and information technology services in support of administration, academe, instruction, research, and outreach. He is responsible for strategic planning and management of academic and administrative computing resources, library, voice, video and data communications. As a senior executive of the leadership team, Mr. Gudena represents the Library and the Information Technology organizations. Prior to joining Richard Bland College of William & Mary, Mr. Gudena was the Chief Information Officer for Sul Ross State University in Alpine, Texas.

Mr. Gudena has served on strategic planning committees and task-forces such as, co-chair for the strategic planning committee for Sul Ross State University, the Presidents Climate Commitment Task-force, Space Planning committees, Enterprise Security Board for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, CIO council of the Texas State University System, CIO council for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Information Security Councils and Strategic Enrollment Planning committee. Mr. Gudena has presented at conferences such as Educause and SPIE (The International society for Optics and Photonics).

Mr. Gudena earned a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Electronics and Communication from Andhra University, and Master of Science (M.S.) in Electrical Engineering from The University of Texas at El Paso. He has participated in the Harvard University’s Institute for Leadership and Management in Higher Education. Mr. Gudena is currently pursuing Doctor of Business Administration in Strategy and Innovation from Capella University. He is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), a distinction he earned in September 2006.
