Biography

Dr. Chris Stivers is an Assistant Professor of Communication Emeritus at Seaver College of Pepperdine University. Prior to fulltime teaching he served as Director of Admissions, Registrar, and Technology Liaison from the user areas to the administrative computing organization. While in the latter role he co-directed the team which identified and selected the university's student information system, then managed user involvement in its implementation. Subsequent to this, Dr. Stivers was Director of desktop computing support for the university and started a student-driven Technology Internship Program. He has served as web administrator and taught in the Fine Arts and Communications divisions at Pepperdine. His primary teaching has been in information design, storytelling with media, and multimedia design and production. Now retired, he continues to be involved at the university.
