Christian Vinten-Johansen, Information Technology Manager at Penn State. Glad you're interested!

I'm co-chair of Penn State's Accessible Information Technology Initiative; manager of WebLion, and co-chair of PSU-ITANA, an enterprise architecture group.

I've been an advocate and practitioner of universal web design since 2000. I frequently attend meetings and present on the topic, and I publish articles about accessibility, design, and organizational change on my blog, "Ménage IT". Additional interests include leadership and organizational change, motivated by my experiences injecting universal design into the culture of the web community of practice; and emerging web and eBook publishing standards, especially insofar as it rationalizes the publishing process and enhances accessibility.

Previously, I was a web developer since 1995, and a software developer since 1983. My first career was agricultural and biological engineering, working with plant biology research teams, and greenhouse design.

While I deeply value the superb technical training I've received, I most value my liberal arts education which has done so much to build trustful and productive relationships.
