Hi. I'm Christian Vinten-Johansen.

I'm manager of the IT Accessibility Team at Penn State, co-chair of Penn State's Accessible Technology and Information (ATI) initiative, and co-lead of the EDUCAUSE IT Accessibility Constituent Group.

I've been an evangelist and practitioner of accessible information technology since 2000. I frequently attend and facilitate meetings, present on the topic, and publish articles about accessibility and organizational change on my blog, Ménage IT. Additional interests include leadership and organizational change; institutionalizing accessibility and universal design in education; and emerging web and publishing standards.

Previously, I was a web developer since 1995, and a software developer since 1983. My first career was research engineer, working with plant biology research teams; environmental design; and measurement and control systems.

While I deeply value the superb technical training I've received, I most value my education in the humanities, which has done so much to build trustful and productive relationships.
