Biography
D. Teddy Diggs is Founding Editor of EDUCAUSE REVIEW magazine, contracting with EDUCAUSE in 1999 to help plan the new publication. She was appointed Publisher of the magazine with its second issue, in March/April 2000. In that capacity, she supervises online and print production and oversees editorial content, determining current and emerging topics of interest and potential writers to cover the intersection of the information technology and higher education professions. Her position allows her to work with people throughout higher education and industry: college presidents, CIOs, IT staff, and association, non-profit, and for-profit leaders.
Before joining the EDUCAUSE staff, Teddy established and operated Diggs Publication Services, providing editing, indexing, writing, project management, and other publishing services to university and academic presses, magazines, textbook publishers, and government institutions in fields ranging from technology and history to economics and fashion. She started her publishing career as Editor of Southern Methodist University Press in Dallas, Texas. Teddy graduated cum laude from SMU, with Departmental Distinction in History, and earned an M.A. in Western American History at Utah State University, where she was the Editorial Fellow for Western Historical Quarterly scholarly journal.
