David Norman

Biography

David Norman is Chief Information Security Officer at Bentley University. He leads the cybersecurity team and is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to safeguard Bentley's digital assets and intellectual property and for overseeing the security of networks, systems, and applications. Since 2009 David has led several IT multi-year programs at Bentley, including migration of data center assets and applications to the Microsoft public cloud and to software as a service. He also initiated the data analytics program to develop data analytics and data governance frameworks and practices that support data driven decision making at the university.

Prior to his work at Bentley, David pursued a career in IT program and project management at several manufacturing and consumer products companies including Proctor & Gamble, Gillette, and Cabot Corporation.

David has a Master's Degree from Clark University, a Master's Certificate in Project Management from Northeastern University, is a certified Project Management Professional, and holds ITIL and CISSP certifications.
