Biography

Derek is an experienced software developer, system administrator, and system architect, focused upon Identity & Access Management Services and web development using Open Source and cloud tools. In his role as Identity Architect at the University of Notre Dame, he collaborates with teams across the University to define policy and process. He has been a contributor to Identity & Access Management within higher education since 2000, has participated in Internet2 MACE and TIER efforts, and presented at Internet2 on topics regarding the adoption of cloud-based services, authentication, and MFA.
