Dr. Hernan Londono is Associate Chief Information Officer at the Division of Information Technology of Barry University as well as adjunct professor of Computer Science at Barry University, department of Mathematics and Computer Science. He is also an adjunct professor of Computer Information Sciences at the Department of Computer Information Sciences & Design Technology of Miami Dade College.
Hernan received his Doctorate degree in Computer Information Systems from Nova Southeastern University after having completed research in the area of Evolvability of Aspect Oriented software.
In his role of Associate CIO Hernan is responsible for overseeing the planning and execution of strategy for Datacenter Operations, Telecommunications and Networks, Software Solutions and well as Conferencing and Media at Barry University. Since 2013 Hernan has also been in charge of leading the development of Barry’s Information Security Office.
In 2013 Dr. Londono received the Blackboard Connect™ Communications Strategy Award in recognition for his effort in using technology to deliver the most innovative and successful learning experiences. In 2014 Hernan also received the Barry University Visionary Award of Excellence in recognition for his outstanding leadership and professionalism.
