Biography
Jim A. Jorstad, is currently the Director of Educational Technologies at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. He has spent over 20 years in effectively integrating information technologies in the environment of teaching and learning. He has a long record of regional, national, and international presentations, published articles, and projects to his credit. In additional to numerous leadership positions and honors, Jim has been twice selected as one of the top multi-media producer in the United States by AV Video Magazine.
Jim has an extensive background in the design of effective learning spaces, integrating technology into the learning process, social media strategies and methodologies, and the creation and production multimedia technologies.
An active member of EDUCAUSE, a honored Frye Institute Fellow from 2005, member of the EDUCAUSE Quarterly Editorial Board, past committee member of the Midwest Regional Planning Committee, and a frequent national and international presenter. His work has been featured on CNN and MSNBC.
