Biography

Jim Bradley leads the Office of Information Technology at the University of Texas at Arlington. He is responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of the University's central technology services unit as well as providing data center services to the University of Texas System.

Jim is married and has two daughters. He earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence from South Texas College of Law and has been a member of the State Bar of Texas since 1998. Jim holds a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Management Information Systems from the University of St. Thomas in Houston where he was a member of Delta Mu Delta honor society. He earned his Bachelor's Degree in History from the University of Houston.

Jim is a 2013 Leading Change Institute Fellow. He serves on the board of the Lonestar Education and Research Network (LEARN) and the University of Houston's Digital Media Program Advisory Board.

Prior to joining UTA, Jim was a member of the IT leadership team at Tulane University where he was responsible for research and instructional technology, internal and external partnerships and traditional technical support across multiple Tulane campuses. Jim served the Information Technology division at the University of Houston for 24 years before joining Tulane and also served as an adjunct professor teaching technology, database and Web topics. He began working in information technology in higher education in 1983 as a student at the UH Computing Center.

Jim has served on numerous university committees and special assignments as well as volunteer and community service activities. He has also been an active contributor to Educause and Internet2 including the "Voice in the Clouds" NET+ initiative.
