Jameson Watkins

Biography

Jameson Watkins is the Director of Customer Innovation & Support at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Areas of responsibility include the university's web presence, application development, IT training, medical library technical services, and IT help desk functions. Jameson is also on the adjunct faculty at Emporia State University's graduate library science program, and a clinical faculty member of the Health Information Management program at KU Medical Center where he teaches management information systems. Jameson has spoken at national and regional conferences on effective use of social media within large organizations as well as implementing portal technologies and podcasting. In addition to several articles, he wrote a chapter entitled, "Developing a Portal Channel Strategy" for the book Portals: Opportunities and Challenges. His professional interests include web portals, middleware, identity management, and information architecture. He has a masters degree in Library Science and bachelors degree in English.
