Janet has been Chief Technology Officer at Carleton College since May 2013. During her time at Carleton, Janet has expanded support for teaching and learning, has put an emphasis on campus partnership and has led the charge for more transparent and proactive IT communications. Janet is the co-PI of an NSF Cyber-infrastructure grant and lead contributor on a Mellon collaboration grant with neighboring institution St. Olaf College. Prior to moving to the land of 10,000 lakes, Janet was Director of Computing Services at Bryn Mawr College and an adjunct faculty member in Instructional Technology at Philadelphia University. Earlier in her career, Janet was a mechanical engineer and software project manager. Janet did a 3-2 engineering program through Grinnell College and Washington University in St. Louis and has an M.S. in Computer Science from Stanford University. Janet’s passionate support of inter-college collaboration has been nurtured by the Frye Institute, serving on the CLAC Board and through a number of Educause program committees.
