Biography
Jeff Nugent is Co-Director with the Center for Teaching Excellence at Virginia Commonwealth University. He provides leadership for the CTEs efforts to develop programs and workshops that support teaching and learning with technology. Jeffs current projects include working with faculty at VCU to explore the instructional uses of tablet PCs, the use of web-based tools to support collaborative learning, instructional uses of social media, and the role of faculty learning communities in sustaining meaningful uses of technology in teaching. He holds an EdS degree in Instructional Technology from the University of Virginia, and a MAEd in Science Education from East Carolina University. His research interest focuses on understanding factors that shape faculty adoption of technology to support their teaching practices.
