Biography
Jennifer Lerner is Associate Vice President for e-Learning at Northern Virginia Community College, responsible for NOVA's Extended Learning Institute (ELI), a large distance learning provider serving 23,000 students annually in more than 400 online courses. ELI is a centralized distance learning operation providing students a robust array of support services ranging from 24/7 IT support to an embedded distance learning librarian to co-curricular experiences in our online student life program. ELI's more than 430 faculty and its outstanding online courses regularly receive statewide and national recognition for excellence. Jennifer also holds a Ph.D. in Sociology and has published work on teaching about race and ethnicity in higher education.
