Biography
Jo Meyertons is Director of Educational Technology and Curricular Innovation at Linfield College. Jo is a key contact for Linfield faculty for multimedia development, faculty development, instructional design and anything to do with new educational technologies, and has held similar positions at Willamette University, University of Maryland College Park, Reed College, and Portland State University since 1995. Enhancing learning and instruction through digital video, customized learning, and web design are particular interests for Jo, as is raising awareness on usability, culture changes, and other humanist issues related to the adoption and diffusion of innovative technologies. Jo recently presented a talk on Social Software at a PT3 conference at the University of Portland, and presented a talk on the "Willamette Digital Video Portfolio" to ED MEDIA in Hawaii. Jo holds a B.A. in Liberal Arts from Sonoma State University, a Masters in Public Administration from San Francisco State University, and an Ed.D. (emphasis educational technology) from Portland State University.
