Biography

Joanne Dehoney is Chief of Staff at EDUCAUSE, the association of higher education IT professionals. Prior to joining EDUCAUSE, Dehoney was at The Ohio State University (OSU), where she served as Senior Director for Learning Technology and Adjunct Associate Professor of Education from 2007 to 2010. Dehoney has held similar positions at North Carolina State and East Carolina University, and has worked as an instructional designer in the private as well as public sectors.

Dehoney has presented talks and authored articles on designing, developing, and evaluating instructional technology support services in higher education. She holds a doctor of philosophy degree in instructional technology from the University of Georgia, and a master of arts in instructional design from the University of Texas, Austin.
