Joseph Storch is an Associate Counsel at the State University of New York Office of General Counsel. In addition to comprehensive legal representation for SUNY Oswego, SUNY Cortland, SUNY Morrisville, and the SUNY Institute of Technology, he concentrates on campus safety, digital copyright, student affairs issues, and the legal issues created by the use and development of emerging technologies. Joe chairs the SUNY Student Affairs Practice Group.

Joe attended the State University of New York, College at Oswego where he served as Vice President of the Student Association and received a Chancellor's Award for Student Excellence. Joe graduated Summa Cum Laude with degrees in Political Science and Rhetorical Communications and was selected to speak at the Closing Torchlight Ceremony. After working as an Admissions Counselor, he attended Cornell Law School where he served as Chancellor of the Moot Court Board. After graduating, he clerked for the New York State Appellate Division, 3rd Department. He is currently pursuing a Masters in Public Policy with a Higher Education Policy concentration at the State University of New York at Albany.

Joe's writing has appeared in the Chronicle of Higher Education, Inside Higher Ed, the Orlando Sentinel, the Albany Times Union, the Albany Law Review, the Medical Trial Techniques Quarterly, Court Review: the Journal of the American Judges Association, and as a NACUA Note. He is licensed to practice law in the State of New York.
