Biography
Kay is Associate Vice Chancellor and CIO for the Texas Tech University System where she has worked since 1980. She oversees the information technology departments which support the enterprise systems for Texas Tech University and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. These departments are Information Systems, Technology Operations and Systems Management (TOSM) and Communication Services. Kay also works jointly with the CIOs for Texas Tech University, Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, and Angelo State University. In addition, Kay was Project Manager for the Texas Tech University System ERP implemetation.
Kay is an active participant in Educause and was active in CUMREC for 25 years. She has made presentations, served on numerous committees including program committee for the annual Educause Conference, Enterprise Technology Conference, and Program Chair for Southwest Regional Educause Conference.
