Biography
Mr. Chamberlain joined the management team of EDUCAUSE to lead the formal deployment of a business development function within the association, working closely with the corporate community. The focus of his activity will be on crafting strategic relationships with third-party groups in order to develop new member-based resources, products and services for stakeholders of the organization.
An executive with nearly 20 years of for-profit and nonprofit marketing and business development experience, Keith was most recently the executive vice president of the education division of a healthcare company that provided specialized cardiovascular training and education to hospitals across the country. In his role, he served as the lead marketing executive within the company, oversaw all business development activities for his unit, successfully establishing strategic partnerships with global companies such as Philips Healthcare, Siemens, Toshiba, Bracco Diagnostics and multiple professional trade associations.
During his career, Keith founded and ran a business which provided strategic marketing, publishing and project management services to clients in the healthcare, association, non-profit and performing arts industries. Prior to this, Chamberlain was hired as the first-ever vice president of business development and marketing for the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT), a national membership organization with more than 120,000 members, headquartered in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Before ASRT, he was vice president of marketing for the Denver-based Medical Group Management Association, and has held senior leadership and marketing positions for The New England Journal of Medicine and Dura Pharmaceuticals (acquired by Elan Pharmaceuticals, Ltd).
Keith earned his MBA in marketing from Bentley University's McCallum Graduate School of Business in Waltham, MA, his masters of arts from Baltimore-based Goucher College, and holds an undergraduate degree in broadcasting & communications from the State University of New York, College at Oswego. An Eagle Scout, Keith volunteers his time with his son's scout troop, is president of the Oswego Alumni Association, and serves on the board for a number other non-profit organizations.
