As a Learning Design Librarian, my focus is on program design for places that foster connected learning. I am particularly interested in understanding how active learning can be described differently in higher ed than in K12, how that learning activity has changed as digital technologies have become ubiquitous, and how the library's role has changed and can continue to change, in response.

I have explored those themes intensively with students, staff, and faculty members through the University of Michigan Library's experimental learning spaces, since 2000. Prior to this role, I was a project manager in the U-M Office of Instructional Technology.

I also have professional experience in web design and development, and theater production and performance. I hold a Masters Degree in English Language and Literature, from the University of Michigan.
