Biography
Martin A. Smith is currently the Chief Information Officer (CIO) for Embry Riddle Aeronautical University with responsibility for all strategic information technology initiatives, projects and organizations for all worldwide locations and the residential campuses in Daytona Beach, Florida and Prescott, Arizona. He has successfully led IT strategic and tactical planning initiatives, ERP implementations, teaching and learning initiatives, ASP projects, business and education partnerships and alliances and improved Information Technology services and support. Mr. Smith has been at Embry-Riddle for over 5 years and in higher education for over 25 years and has held senior management positions at the University of Massachusetts System and Boston College. Mr. Smith also has additional experience in private business and has been a teacher and consultant. Mr. Smith has a Masters Degree in Business Administration and a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and Quantitative Methods.
