Matthew Putz

Biography

Matt joined Bethel University in 2008. He currently directs the Teaching and Learning Technology team and teaches in the Graduate School.

Matt earned a B.Mus.Ed. from the University of North Dakota, an M.Div. from North American Baptist Seminary, and an Ed.D. (Instructional Technology and Distance Education) from Nova Southeastern University. His dissertation described the experiences of adjuncts teaching in a hybrid instructional environment. For over a decade prior to joining Bethel University, Matt worked as a pastor, focusing primarily on adult education, leadership development, worship, and technology integration.

In addition to his work, Matt also enjoy spending time with his wife and three children, along with various music, aviation, and church-related activities.
