Megan Linos

Biography

Megan Linos serves as the Director of Learning Experience Design and Online Education at the Division of Teaching Excellence and Innovation (DTEI). She oversees a team of instructional designers and a video producer providing comprehensive teaching consultation and faculty support to foster teaching excellence and enhance digital learning innovations at the University of California Irvine (UCI). 

With a diverse background in faculty development, online education, and instructional technology, Megan has been serving higher education institutions as a learning architect for over two decades. She has an excellent track record of cultivating cohort-based faculty learning communities, embracing teaching innovations with learning technologies, engaging online students via digital active learning-based course design. 

Megan and her team established two faculty development programs - the Digital Learning Institute and the Teaching Experiment Academy. As a result, more than 150 UCI faculty have developed or redesigned their courses for online delivery during the pandemic. In 2020, Megan's leadership was recently recognized and received the Dynamic Womxn of UCI Spotlight Award.

Megan received a B.S. degree in Early Childhood Education from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, an M.S. degree in Instructional Technology from Georgia State University, and a second M.S. degree in Positive Organizational Development and Change (MPOD) from Case Western Reserve University. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Career and Workforce Education at the University of South Florida, expected in 2027.

In addition, Megan is certified in the areas of Developing Leadership through Emotional Intelligence and Appreciative Inquiry in Positive Business and Society Change. She is also an alumnus of EDUCAUSE Institute's Leadership program as well as the Learning Technology Leadership Program.
