Miary Andriamiarisoa

Biography

Miary has worked in higher education for 20 years. He has been heavily involved in campus wide solution deployments and collaborated with both administrative and academic entities in order to provide innovative campus technology solutions. He has the unique advantage of having worked on both sides of the aisle, as a teaching faculty member and a University executive administrator serving as an enterprise excellence strategist and an educational systems architect. He has worked with curriculum delivery solutions using relevant and impactful technology and subscribes to the philosophy that there is no such thing as an IT project, there are only business projects with an IT component. He has been involved with campus wide technology strategy deployments, innovation in teaching and learning initiatives, such as gamified learning strategies, 3D technologies as an integral part of the curriculum, as well as disruption and innovation in education. He collaborates very closely with faculty and the academic leadership to provide technological support, to promote innovative ideas, and to build a vision towards creating a future ready institution. He conducted nationwide Webinars on varied topics such as campus wide lecture capture solution, COVID-19 preparedness, and other technology solutions to enhance teaching and learning. Miary has a Masters degree in Humanities, a Masters Degree in Software Engineering, and an EDD with an emphasis on leveraging technology for higher education teaching and learning. For the last 5 years, he has been architecting and deploying future-proofing strategies involving the use of artificial intelligence in higher education. He is a computer vision and machine learning certified professional, and has a patent related to a driver drowsiness detection system making use of computer vision. He is also in the process of filing an artificial intelligence related patent for an innovative sleep disorder detection system.
